Edith Anderson, LSW
Edie has experience working in schools with children ages 4-15, adults with HIV/AIDS in a community health setting, and young adults with autism at a residential treatment facility. Edie accepts clients ages 5 years and older for individual therapy and also sees clients for family therapy. Edie is competent in Transgender/Transition counseling, LGBTQ+ issues, Gender Dysphoria, Trauma, Trauma as a result of extreme poverty, substance use, relationship issues, Parenting issues, Self-esteem, Anxiety, Depression, Women’s issues, Sexual concerns, spirituality, Autism Spectrum disorders, ADHD, parent-child relationship issues, and fertility issues. Edie utilizes CBT, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing approaches to treatment. She is working under the supervision of Merissa Durda, LISW-S, while she pursues her licensure as a Licensed Independent Social Worker.
