veronica baker, APRN-CNP
Veronica Baker began her practice in healthcare in 1989. Baker is a Board Certified Adult Clinical Nurse Specialist and Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She obtained her first two nursing degrees and her first advanced practice graduate degree from Kent State University. She went on to obtain an additional advanced practice graduate certification from Ursuline College in Cleveland.
Baker graduated Magna Cum Laude at Kent State and Ursuline College. She was invited into Sigma Theta Tau’s International Nursing Honor Society, Delta Xi chapter, along with the Golden Key International Honor Society. She went on to receive the Cambridge Who’s Who in the workplace as a Certified Nursing Director. She has also been recognized and awarded conference scholarships by both the Ohio Nurses Association and Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society.
She is certified in Geriatric, Adult and Family practice. Baker’s practice has a strong medical foundation and specializes in holistic psychiatric care. She has experience in the adult and pediatric outpatient setting along with extensive experience in geriatric long-term care of those with chronic mental and physical co-morbid conditions. She has also worked in community mental health clinics via telehealth and is currently expanding her practice to include psychiatric inpatient at local acute/sub-acute facilities.
Baker’s interest includes research, neuroplasticity, and nursing leadership. This includes Transitions, Human Becoming, Resilience and Interpersonal Relations theories. She is a member of the Ohio Nurses Association, Ohio Association of Advanced Practice Nurses, the American Psychiatric Nurses Association and Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society.
